our intention:

WE ARE A COMMUNITY OF CURIOUS SEEKERS

DISCOVERING HOW TO REMAIN AUTHENTIC, CONSCIOUS AND KIND, DURING ANY OF LIFE’S UNPREDICTABLE MOMENTS,

BY CREATING A SPACE TO SHARE PERSONAL STORIES, INSIGHTS & EXPERIENCE.

FOR US, A MINDFUL VOYAGE IS,

“ANY LIFE JOURNEY THAT PRODUCES OR ENHANCES PRESENCE, KINDNESS & A CURIOUS STATE OF BEING.”

we are navigated by 3 guiding principals.

USE A COMPASS - DROP AN ANCHOR - RIDE THE WAVES

USE A COMPASS

What direction are you heading in? Is that the direction you are intending to go?

Developing awareness of what is important in our life can help us identify if the action steps we are taking are moving us in our intended direction OR if a course-correction is needed.

Like a compass, connection to and checking in with our values is a portable, universal tool of support and connection. From time to time, check-in with compassion and ask: “What direction am I heading? And is that the direction I am intending to go?”

DROP AN ANCHOR

Struggle and stress are a part of life. Rather than resisting stress, we believe that shifting our response to how we approach struggle is an essential ingredient on a mindful voyage.

An anchor can be a mindset, like compassionately acknowledging the presence of a struggle, or something more tangible, like a grounding practice or seeking support from a support person.

RIDE THE WAVES

No emotion (or experience) will last forever. All things move and change.

Rather than resisting that which is uncomfortable, is it possible to ride it out? Like the great mindfulness teacher Jon Kabott-Zinn once famously stated “You can’t stop the waves, but you can learn how to surf.”
